Building on Experience with the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street
One of our ongoing projects, for which we are providing a design and build service for the National Maternity Hospital, requires a three storey extension to be constructed at the rear of the building over existing services at ground level and basement levels.
The extension will incorporate a new Operating Theatre to connect with the existing Theatre Suite on the third floor of the Hospital. On the levels beneath the theatres, new offices and ancillary areas will be constructed as part of the works.
In order to ensure minimum disruption to existing Hospital activities, access for the works was achieved by devising standalone work platforms above services at the rear of the building.
This standalone access to the site ensures the projects progression with minimal disruption to the hospital environment.
To service the new building, plant rooms are being instated at roof and basement level.
