Elenfield have commenced construction on a new four storey extension and labour and delivery ward refurbishment at the Rotunda Hospital, The extension will incorporate 2no. new operating theatres including ancillary sterile areas, emergency department procedure areas, accounts department and plant room at roof level. The labour and delivery ward refurbishment will consist of upgrade works to the entire department in manageable phases while maintaining the services of the department for the duration of the works, this will involve very detailed controls in relation to Aspergillus, noise and dust. We are looking forward to continuing our very strong working partnership with O'Connell Mahon Architects, Arup MEP, Arup Structural, Mulcahy McDonagh Quanity Surveyors, J. Vaughan Electrical and PJ Duffy & Sons Mechanical. This project further reinforces our existing relationship with the Rotunda Hospital following on from previous projects on the campus which included; the construction of a new mortuary, the refurbishment of the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit, the refurbishment of the Fetal Assessment Unit and various office & bathroom refurbishments.
